Throughout his magnificent 16-years career, Nike has been there right alongside LeBron James each and every literal step of the way. Way back in 2003, the Swoosh shot an ad campaign in which the proclaimed king sat on a regal throne decked out in red velvet with golden hardware and three menacing lions perched at his feet. In celebration of that ad, Nike has fashioned a luxurious take on the LeBron 16 signature shoe, one created specifically for his opening night game and LA Lakers regular season debut against the Portland Trail Blazers. Done up in a monarchial combination of deep red, metallic gold, and cheetah print – harkening back to the jungle vibes of the ad from 16 years ago – these shoes are truly fit for the league’s top predator.
The Nike LeBron 16 King is the next iteration of the silhouette this season, and it’s inspired by the African meaning of LeBron James’ name and his first ever poster. The colorway is also a tribute to his legacy and dominance on the court. A bold red battleknit upper with highlighting leopard print detailing is seen on the heels which pays tribute to the classic Air Zoom Generation ad campaign during LeBron James’ early career. Also, the insoles feature the same image, while metallic gold accents for the Swooshes, tongue and heel tab, followed by a white rubber sole to top it all off.
The Nike LeBron 16 is a nod to the small forward position, which is part of Nike’s “1 Thru 5” Collection. It features a Red Battleknit upper with leopard print heels that pays homage to a classic Air Zoom Generation ad campaign during his early career. That same photo is used on the insoles, along with Metallic Gold accents on the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue.

We’re approaching the end of the Kyrie 4‘s wildly impressive run, and it looks like Nike is finishing it off strong with an upcoming Halloween edition that features a black Swoosh logo dipped in green slime. In addition to that hair-raising detail, Nike adds a similar effect to the Kyrie Irving logo on the tongue as well as the rubber outsole. We expect this to be one of several holiday-themed offerings by the brand and likely one of the last of the fourth model before the official unveiling and release of the highly anticipated Nike Kyrie 5.
Kyrie Irving‘s Nike Kyrie 4 makes a strong case as the most enjoyable signature basketball line on the market today. Designer Benjamin Nethongkome and the rest of the Nike Basketball team have created interesting colorways with clever backstories for the Boston Celtics point guard time and time again, and the latest Kyrie to join in on the fun is this new “Halloween” edition. A pitch-dark black serves as the base for bold green accents on the outsole, Kyrie tongue logo, and the midfoot Swoosh, which features a dripping green slime effect that goes all the way down to the midsole — providing a look that’s reminiscent of the graphics used in the classic Goosebumps book series.
Halloween is right around the corner, which means Nike will begin releasing several inspired-releases for the spooky holiday. One of those is the Kyrie 4, which will be available later in October.Dressed in a Black and Rage Green color scheme. This Nike Kyrie 4 features a Black-based upper paired with Green accents throughout. But the highlight of the shoe is the Black Swoosh logo dipped in Green slime as well as on the Kyrie tongue logo.

The Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Christmas” is headed to retailers on December 26th, 2014. There’s only a handful of Christmas games left in Kobe’s career, and it’s easy to forget that it was his battles with former teammate Shaquille O’Neal that helped turn the 25th of December into a marquee time to watch NBA basketball. This year he’s skipping out on the Grinch theme for a bullseye red aesthetic as he continues to shoot his way into the record books. His Kobe 9 Elite stands out with Bright Crimson throughout the flyknit upper while a unique pattern arrives on the midsole to offset the sparse greens found on the heel stitching and insole.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Christmas is a release that can look fresh while wearing on the court, in the streets or simply just chilling with your boys. This Kobe 9 is inspired by the knitted stockings hanging over the fireplace – pretty cozy when you start to think about it.The Kobe 9 Elite Christmas features a Red-and-White Flyknit upper, with leather textures on the tongue and overlays giving the shoe a premium feel, accented by a marbled outsole resembling candy canes. Inside, the shoe reads “Mamba’s Greetings,” a hidden detail from Bryant on the inner tongue.
Nike Basketball spreads the holiday cheer again this year with the 2015 Christmas pack, featuring the LeBron 12, KD 7, and the sneaker we’re here to remind you about right now, the Kobe 9 Elite. Kobe’s festive addition to the Christmas pack outfits the high-top Kobe 9 Elite in a jolly red and white blended Flyknit upper with a Christmas camo sole unit and a special “Mamba’s Greeting” tag on the interior of each tongue. After catching them on Kobe’s feet on Christmas day (actually matching his opponent’s uniform better than his own as the Lakers play the Bulls), you can catch your own pair tomorrow, December 26th.

Kobe Bryant’s signature collection remains full of life long beyond his final farewell at Staples Center. Bryant’s A.D. collection, which has numerous iterations to speak of, is now anchored by possibly its best execution yet — the Nike Kobe A.D. NXT 360.Covered in lightweight and breathable Flyknit construction that is applied through a budding methodology, its 360 degree wrap is a revolutionary update to Flkyknit implementation giving the shoe a sock-like fit. Traction is also at a premium with a heavily tooled outsole. This “Lakers” colorway is one of several that have released this year. For true Black Mamba fans, though, this might be the one.
On Mamba Day 2018, Kobe and Nike debuted the next chapter of Bryant’s signature footwear line with the Kobe AD NXT 360. Equipped with a 360 degree Flyknit upper that is designed to flex with the wearer’s foot for maximum comfort, this new look comes dressed in Lakers colors. Its translucent outsole combines yellow and purple while housing its state-of-the-art React foam cushioning and Lunarlon technology with a rugged traction pattern for added stability on the court. While Demar Derozan has been the poster child for Kobe sneakers in the Black Mamba’s absence, do not expect to see the Toronto Raptors All-Star wearing these in Game 5 against the Washington Wizards. Its Yellow Strike upper that comes with red Kobe branding embroidered on the heel would not quite match the Raptors’ aesthetic. Pairs of the this Los Angeles-themed Kobe AD NXT 360 will arrive at Swoosh Brand Basketball retailers on May 24th with an MSRP of $200 USD.
